BARF

Another gem from the religious right. Behold, the "Christian" version of American Girl dolls.

"The Beautiful Girlhood Collection aspires, by the grace of God, to encourage the rebuilding of a culture of virtuous womanhood. In a world that frowns on femininity, that minimizes motherhood, and that belittles the beauty of being a true woman of God, we dare to believe that the biblical vision for girlhood is a glorious vision. It is, in fact — a beautiful vision. It is a vision for purity and contentment, for faith and fortitude, for enthusiasm and industry, for heritage and home, and for joy and friendship. It is a vision so bright and so wonderful that it must be boldly proclaimed. We are here to proclaim it."

Yes, because this is really what we should want for our girls: for them to spend their lives sitting at home in rocking chairs, dutifully stitching American flags and being "content" with how everything in the world is going. Heaven forbid they experience the worldly, dangerous opportunities inherent in a career outside the home with >27 children!

Also worth a glance and a head-shake: check out what the boys get to play with. Slingshots and swords. How very virtuous! Oh, and they're allowed to "dream big dreams" while the chicks are busy toiling around the house, birthing and being content.

NO NO NO NO NO AGAINST EVERYTHING I STAND FOR!!!

Cannot wait to work with G Scouts this summer and teach them to kick ass.

There's strangely no mention of god's strong desire to see girls playing ice hockey.

No, God hates when girls do things like that.

I just wanted to point out that it is now over a month since PaintRadio was updated.

Fair enough - I just wanted to point out there was at least one person missing them.
