I Come From Great Stock

As I was walking up the driveway to my dad's house this weekend, I heard maniacal screams coming from the backyard.

Having three half-brothers under 9, I didn't think this too big of a deal, but wandered back there anyway to investigate.

My two older brothers (they're 9 and 7) had my youngest brother, who's almost 4, closed in a large cardboard box and were beating the box with various objects. Ben had a rake and Nathan had a Playschool gas pump.

I was horrified, then immediately amused.

Peter, the prisoner, was screaming with joy.

I'm glad we're providing such educational and culturally enriching activities for our children.

And yes, we own a Playschool gas pump. Us Lawrences are very into gasoline, you know.

That is amazing.

Had a nice hearty chuckle as I read that.
