UGHLA

Sometimes when I get really, really bored, I plan my perfect wedding.

Gag. I know. Who am I, right? Like I said: really, REALLY bored.

Here's what I have so far:

- VERY short, minimally religious, and humorous ceremony
- emphasis on reception, which must be fun and laid-back
- outdoors, in the summer, with cute tents and really excellent lighting
- short, basic dress. Not into the pouffy, princess-y thing. Plus I would trip on it.
- I also want to be married with my hair down, because I look ridiculous with an updo
- I want to personalize my open bar. Meaning I want to pick a few very specific types of alcohol that I know are the favorites of my friends and family (for example, my dad's side must have Red Stripe beer and my mom must have her Stoli and tonic with lime). Can this even be done? Whatever, it's my dream wedding
- I'd like to avoid the wedding party drama. So, if it were up to me, I would forgo choosing one maid of honor and just have bridesmaids. Again, super unorthodox and maybe impossible
- to that end, I will have many dress options for my bridesmaids so they can choose something flattering
- some people think it's tacky, but I want cupcakes at my wedding in lieu of one big cake. Gourmet cupcakes, if possible
- photo booth at reception!
- shuttle/taxi service for the drunks at the end of the night

two things I'm undecided on:
- food. Because I don't really care, and chances are I won't have time to sit down and eat anyway
- music. I've always had this vision of learning to swing dance for my wedding and having big-band music. But, I also want the corny wedding classics that really only a DJ can pull off (ie; the hustle)

THE END

Will this ever happen? Unlikely.

...I should be doing homework right now.

Sounds good to me. I didn't have a Maid of Honor. Matt and I just had bridesmaids and groomsmen, and they walked down in order of height. Then we had an open mike for toasts, no pressure. It was great.

And the girls got to pick their own dresses.

And we picked our favourite beer for the bar.

Lots of similarities...
