Albion's basketball team was on ESPN today! Last night they beat Calvin 56-55: 3-point shot, 0.04 secs left on the clock, crowd rushing the floor, lots of drunken frat boy embraces, all that jazz. The kid who made the winning shot walked into the cafeteria today and got a standing ovation. Everywhere I go on campus people are crowded around random TVs watching it on Top 10 Plays at the top of every hour. Hey, nothing much happens around here. So this is pretty cool.
The best parts about this video:
1. people have no idea where Albion is, or how to pronounce it.
2. our poor quality, low-budget footage compared to the D1 school's professional filming. Looks like something my grandma shot of us at Disneyworld in 1992.
3. there are, max, 160 people at this game. It's like high school.
4. my friends and I are sitting in the "Brit Pit" behind the Calvin basket, you can faintly see us waving our purple "spirit rags", haha
Okay, so I don't go to a "real college." I'm over it.

that's cute.
at least you guys have fans at your sporting events. the only things people go to around here are the guys soccer games because... they're full of soccer players. and the mens vball games, because they are the only team we have that wins everything.
Cool.
I remember the U of M vs. MSU game in 1999 when MSU beat U of M. I lived right across from the tailgating capital of Munn Field. No riots that year...but there were several ginarmous bonfires on Munn. The high lasted several days. it was awesome.
We are not allowed to tailgate. It is an absolute injustice.
