Snacks for the Mind

1. I have the coolest coat ever. It is my grandfather's Navy pea coat, and I have been wearing it nonstop since I found it in the basement over Christmas. It survived a world war and has all sorts of interesting marks/scuffs/rips in it. I wonder where they all came from. I also cannot believe that gramps used to fit into this thing, as he's extremely portly now and it's tight on me. I love things with stories, they're fantastic.

2. Currently in love with: that Stetson cologne commercial with the running horse and convertible, "More Than Words" by Mr. Big, Lindor truffles and our new 8$ mission-style coffee table from a secondhand store.

3. What is everyone's favorite chip? I really love ketchup chips from Canada.

Death Rain Habanera Kettle Chips. I get em at the QD near work. There is an "antique" shop in Holly that you would like, filled with things with stories. The last time I was there was years ago and they had one of Napoleon's Death Masks. It was cool.

Either Baked Ruffles cheddar and sour cream or Andy Capp's Hot Fries. Both are amazing and quite possibly the best ever.

I am superbly jealous of your pea coat. Perhaps insanely so.

My favourite chips are Kettle Salt and Pepper.

We really agree on a few things for once:

1. I also love the stetson advert, as it showcases three things i've loved since age 3: a horse , a convertible, and Tom Brady. (anybody who wants to argue the fact that i've loved Tom Brady since he was 12 can go on ahead and try, but you won't win).

2. I, too, am a fan of Mr. Big, but mostly because of "Next to be with You."

3. I don't have a new coffee table, but I do love my water goblets from a secondhand store.

My favorite chip is Jalapeno Krunchers, but i wish they were a bajillion times hotter. I also really, really love ruffled lays dipped in french onion dip. it tastes like summer when you're 7 years-old.

1. If you don't like that Stetson commercial, there is something wrong with you.

2. I am (again) retarded, and have put my foot in my mouth. More Than Words is by Extreme; Next to be With You is indeed Mr. Big. I get them mixed up. I am officially no longer discussing music, because I don't know what I'm talking about.

3. In the past month I have gotten a table, a lamp, a pair of 80s rouched boots, and a handful of vintage milk bottles and Mason jars from various secondhand stores. All at a total of about 15$. Success.

4. My favorite chips are plain old-fashioned Fritos, preferably coupled with a cold Dr. Pepper. Although everyone knows that I also devour puffy Cheetos, salt and vinegar chips, guacamole Doritos, and any other chip-type snack food that might happen to be laying around the health center.

I can't believe you guys are even old enough to know those songs! But then again, they always seem to come around again.

I used to have a navy pea coat of my grandpa's too. But it only fit me when I was a young teen...then I got taller than him.

My favorite chips vary depending on the time of the month or pregnancy. I love Dill Pickle Chips but would kill for some kettle chips from this fish and chip shop we ate in London. Chuck would remember the name of the place.
