Ha, it's interesting that you mention that, because using the term "retarded" definitely didn't yield as many results as "mentally handicapped" in the same question.
The Internet wasn't very helpful. Most information I found was on heterosexual relationships in mentally handicapped people. I personally don't see why people in this population wouldn't be able to be homosexual. I mean, they're alive and they must have sex drives, and I'm guessing that some of them are attracted to different genders just like the rest of us. Whether or not they can make sense of these drives and use them in a socially acceptable way is another matter altogether. But yeah, I never really found out. There must not be much research on the subject, ha.

In some ways I think it depends on the type of retardation or handicap or the severity of it.
I mean someone who is kinda together and can function almost fully on their own, it seems WOULD have a sex drive, etc. But someone who is pretty much incapacitated wouldn't.
Hmmm, I think I need to conduct some research.
