My tendency to clean compulsively whenever I'm upset is interesting.
It's not like I'm going to emerge from my hour long desk-organizing session as a fundamentally happier person.
I'll just know where the stapler is.

I'm the same way. It gives me a feeling of control in an uncontrolable world. Plus finding the stapler is always nice when papers are due...
I'm the same way too.
If I'm doing the dishes in a purposeful way...or scrubbing the floor....watch out.
I'm pissed about something.
You'd think my husband would have learned to leave me alone in the last 10 years to beat the piss out of the floor before I did it to him.
