My Hero

Steve Yzerman came to the Wings in 1983 as a scrappy 17-year-old offensive powerhouse and ended his career as a legend. Starting out as the franchise's youngest captain in history, he used his unique brand of quiet leadership to raise Detroit from the "Dead Wings" to one of the most powerful hockey clubs in the world. Often toothless and broken with injuries, he fought tenaciously and loyally for the only team he'd ever played for. He has 1,775 points and is 6th overall in all-time NHL scoring. He's won the Conn Smythe, the Selkey, the Masterton and three Stanley Cups, yet he is a quiet, humble man who rarely smiles. Steve is best known for his competitiveness, determination and uncanny ability to lead by example. He is an institution in the hockey world as well as in the Michigan community. He will be remembered fondly and sorely missed.

Happy Steve Yzerman Night!

you just told me (via im-ing) that you would marry him. he is missing teeth.

now, I know I am not one to be picky or criticize, but i have a few standards:

1) taller than me
2) 32 teeth

that's pretty much it.
