I want an octopus.
They're the coolest animals ever. Besides being just generally outlandish, they're also quite intelligent as far as invertebrates go. They can learn to recognize shapes and patterns, they play catch and they're excellent escape artists. They like to pick up rocks and shiny objects and collect them in "gardens". Octipi are also some of the only animals that will look you in the eye and follow your gaze. Creepy.
I would name it Erica.

I would hate to clean that tank. it's hard enough to try and use a net the size of a wallet to scoop up a fish, but i can't imagine trying to scoop up an octopus- so many... legs? (my first thought was "strings") haha.
